But don’t deny yourself the pleasure of a tour through one of the most stunning and oldest wine regions in the United States.  Begin your adventure of the Hill Country Wine Trail with a stop at Grape Creek Vineyards famous for the production of Tempranillo.  This delicate vintage is smooth and pleasurable to the palate.  Further along the road you’ll encounter Torre di Pietra where you can relax while sipping on the finest Merlots.  And although there are many others you don’t want to forego the Becker Vineyards merit attention.  Known for the production of exquisite reds in its huge underground cellar, a gorgeous German style barn and scenic fields of lavender, it’s no wonder it’s considered the “crown jewel” of the collection. 

Before you leave, make sure to go for a drive on the Chisholm Trail made famous by western movies and early writers.  Its popularity is attributed to the fact it was the route of the biggest cattle migration in history.
