Experience Alaska
With glaciers, abundant wildlife, high peaks and coastlines stretching for miles, Alaska is like no other state.

Located in the North West corner of North America, with Canada to the east, the Arctic Ocean to the north and the Pacific to the west and south Alaska is the largest state of the United States.

Its unique geography and climate make it an incredibly interesting and exciting vacation spot.
The largest city in Alaska is Anchorage.  It has a lot of great attractions to see and things to do.  Though Anchorage is a large, metropolitan city, it still has a rugged Alaskan feel to it.  Anchorage is home to a large number of parks and gardens, including the Alaska Zoo, which features animals native to Alaska, and the Denali National Park and Preserve.  The Denali Natural Park features wildlife, mountain ranges, sub-arctic tundra and glaciers.  For those who have never visited an arctic climate, the park is like nothing you’ve seen before.  While in Denali Park, don’t miss out on the main attraction - Mt. McKinley, which is the highest mountain in North America.  View the mighty mountain from the visitor center or, if you are more extreme, go for a hike up its slopes.
Anchorage is also home to the Anchorage Museum of History and Art, one of the city’s biggest attractions.  The museum covers everything there is to know about Alaskan history, culture and art and is great for tourists that know nothing of Alaska’s interesting history.
In the Inside Passage of Alaska, the Hubbard Glacier is a must-see.  The Hubbard Glacier is the largest tidewater glacier on the North American continent and can be viewed from land or from daily cruise liner trips.  If you prefer smaller boats to cruise ships, then hop aboard the Alaskan Ferry and travel between Canada, the Gulf of Alaska and the Alaskan Peninsula.
If you love the cold wonder of glaciers, head to Glacier Bay National Park in the Alaskan capital of Juneau.  In addition to glaciers you’ll find humpback whales, sea otters, white bears, moose, mountain goats and more.
The best time to visit Alaska is between May and September, when the whole state and nature is in bloom.  The winters are cold with limited sunlight, but the Alaskan spring and summer is beautiful, alive and unlike any other North American experience.
